General FAQ
What is Unser Karting & Events?
Unser Karting & Events is an entertainment and a state-of-the-art indoor go-kart facility. We also have a full bar and kitchen, so we’re truly a one-stop shop. Learn more about our history on our About Us page. (Coming Soon!)
Where is the facility?
Unser Karting is located right off of I-25 and I-36, at the interchange. Our address is 7300 Broadway - only 10 minutes from downtown Denver. Check out our Hours and Directions page for maps and details.
What is the price to race?
Our pricing varies based on when you come during the week. Most of our guests choose to do 3 races per visit to maximize their fun. Costs for 3 Adult Races are $46-54* depending on when you come in. For complete pricing information, check our go-kart pricing page for details.
* Annual license required at $6-8 and are good for 1 year from date of purchase.
What are the hours of operation?
We’re open Monday-Thursday from 10am-10pm, Friday and Saturday from 10am-11pm and Sunday from 10am-6pm.
Do you take reservations?
Racing is first come, first served, unless you have booked a corporate event or party. Some days are busier than others. If you want to check on wait time before you come in, call our front desk; the number is (720) 282-5000.
I’ve never been racing before. What should I expect?
You should expect to have fun! Seriously though, we’re a great place to visit, whether it’s your first or fiftieth time in a go-kart. We’ll take you through the whole training, give you racing tips and get you ready to rock, no matter how experienced you are. If you want a more in-depth training experience, check out our Rookie Night, every Wednesday.
What do I need to race?
Just yourself, your ID and proper attire… which we’ll address later.
What should I wear?
(Okay, it won’t be that much later.) We recommend that you do not wear skirts or dresses. You are required to wear closed-toe shoes, and no heels. You will be provided with a headsock (yep, it’s as fancy as it sounds), to wear with your helmet, which is required (and provided). We also provide race suits, neck braces and lockers to stash your stuff in.
How long does it take to race?
First timer w/ training is ~40min from front door to track. This includes registration, training (which is about 7 minutes), as well as heading upstairs, getting ready, putting a race suit on (if desired) and waiting for your heat to be called.
What is a heat?
We don’t do laps; we do heats. A heat is your time on the track - it’s approximately 5-7 minutes, and in that time you can get anywhere from 6 to 14 laps around our 1/4 mile track.
How fast are your karts?
Adult karts go up to 45 mph on our track, so you’re going to pick up some speed.
Is there a weight/height limit for adult karts?
As long as someone can safely, reasonably fit in the kart, then we let them race. The only way to know for sure is to come in and get fitted.
